FESTUS, MO. — Jerry Edward Neece Sr., 66, of Festus, Missouri, passed away, Friday, September 1, 2023 in Festus, MO.  

He was born May 25, 1957 in Columbus, OH, son of the late John Dudley Neece Sr. and Edith Mae Shemwell (Jones).

Jerry entered into Everlasting Life on August 5, 2007 when he and his wife Carol, were baptized together by Pastor Chris Shurills at Harvest Baptist Church in Rochelle, Il. He became a member of Charter Baptist. Most of all Jerry loves God Almighty, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Surviving are wife, Carol L. Neece (Carnell) of Festus, MO, sons, Jerry E. Neece Jr., Jeffrey A. Neece and Michael (Annie Turner) Lee, grandchildren, Jayden, Gabirel and Alexandra Neece, Asher Fitzpatrick and Meredith Turner, nephews, Scott (Denise) Simms and Carl "Pete" (Annette) Matthews Jr. and niece, Erin "Sissy" Dryden.

Jerry was preceded in death by father, John Dudley Neece, Sr., mother, Edith Mae Shemwell, stepfather, Robert Shemwell, brothers, Carl Lee Matthews Sr. and John Dudley Neece Jr.

Services will be held at Charter Baptist Church, Friday, September 15, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Chris Goodwin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Charter Memorial Garden Cemetery, Festus, Missouri.

Friends will be received at Charter Baptist Church, Festus, Missouri, Friday, September 15, 2023, 10:00 am until time of service.
