DEKALB — Joan H. Mershon, 82, of Dekalb, IL passed away on May 18, 2023. Joan was born on August 25, 1940 in Rochelle, IL to Lawrence and Mildred (Martz) Gibson.

Joan enjoyed playing golf, as well as playing cards such as Euchre. She also enjoyed taking pictures of anything she could. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs.

Joan is survived by her son, Randy (Michelle) Mershon of Dekalb, IL; 2 grandchildren, Reed and Jacob; As well as a sister, Judy Gibson of Rochelle, IL.

She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Ronald Mershon.
