John “Kevin” LaRue, of Godley, Texas, was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of John and Carmel (Roethler) LaRue. He died Aug. 11, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

GODLEY, Texas — John “Kevin” LaRue, of Godley, Texas, was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of John and Carmel (Roethler) LaRue. He died Aug. 11, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Kevin served in the U.S. Marines from 1968 to 1972.
He is survived by his fiancé, Nan Grimsley of Godley, Texas; his mother, Carmel Klein of Rochelle; his brother, Todd of Aurora; his children, Dr. Cass (Lance) Headon of Rochelle, Matt (Lachaunda), Mike and Lexy LaRue and Danny Eubank of Texas; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Jon.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sept. 16 in Godley, Texas.
