ROCHELLE — Elda Mae Jordal will be celebrating her 90th birthday on Sept. 17.
Many Creston residents remember her as a teacher in Creston School having taught kindergarten and third grade from 1963 to 1988. The wife and homemaker of three followed her dreams of becoming a schoolteacher, enrolling when her youngest child went to school. She went on to earn her Bachelors Degree, followed with a Masters Degree in 1973 when her youngest graduated high school.
Mrs. Jordal has always been an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
