ROCHELLE — Judy M. Arjes, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Judy was born on Aug. 23, 1947 to Edwin and Vivian (Ulferts) Bunger in Rochelle. She married Donald Arjes on July 14, 1967 in Franklin Grove; he preceded her in death in 1985.
In addition to her husband, she is also predeceased by her parents; stepson, Danny Arjes; and two brothers, Jerry and Henry Bunger.
Judy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed puzzles, crafts and reading.
Judy is survived by her three children, Donald Arjes of Rochelle, Linda Arjes of Lindenwood, and James (Meredith) Arjes of Rochelle; two stepsons, Randy (Bobby) Arjes of Kings and Scott Arjes of Wisconsin; two brothers, Wayne (Ruth) Bunger of Rochelle and Bob Bunger of Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Linda Bunger and Dottie Bunger both of Rochelle; six grandchildren, April Adams of DeKalb, Amanda (Julio) Lopez of Lindenwood, Ashlee Williams of Rochelle, Keri Spinelli of Franklin Grove, Andrew Schopp of Rochelle and Nathan Arjes of Rochelle; and six great-grandchildren, Lexy, Gage, Stella, Gabriel, Brantley and Myles.
The visitation will be from 9 - 10:15 a.m. on Monday, July 30 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle. The funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Melugin Grove Cemetery in Compton.
Memorials may be made in Judy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
