ROCHELLE — Rochelle Police Department Detective John Kaltenbach spoke at the League of Women Voters monthly public meeting recently and spoke about community policing.
Community policing emphasizes problem solving, partnerships with other agencies and community based organizations, proactive approaches to challenges, networking, engagement of community members and most importantly, engagement of the entire community to prevent crime in the community.
The League of Women Voters encourages other organizations and groups in the community to ask for presentations on this topic as it helps our law enforcement officials and the entire community. We are all part of the solution.
