MAPLE PARK — Rochelle’s Katie Van Hise had a big day at the net for the Lady Hubs varsity volleyball team on the road against Kaneland Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough as the hosts hung on to a 25-22, 25-18 victory.
Van Hise had 10 kills in the two-game match to keep Rochelle close in both games.
Clare Green had 11 assists for the Lady Hubs, while Sylvia Hasz added seven kills and also recorded seven digs on the night. Maggie Duval had six digs.
The loss drops Rochelle to 11-7 overall on the season and 1-2 in I-8 Conference action.
Rochelle hosts LaSalle-Peru at home in another conference match-up.
