Keith Lowell Brieltz, 86, of Rochelle, passed away Friday, Nov. 26 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford. Keith was born June 5, 1935, in Roundup, Montana, the son of Christian and Sadie (Lees) Brieltz. He married Barbara Jean Bullard May 1, 1976 in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Tipton.

ROCHELLE — Keith Lowell Brieltz, 86, of Rochelle, passed away Friday, Nov. 26 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford. Keith was born June 5, 1935, in Roundup, Montana, the son of Christian and Sadie (Lees) Brieltz. He married Barbara Jean Bullard May 1, 1976 in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Tipton.
He served in the Air Force for four years as a crew chief stationed in England. He remained there for nine years after working on the Concorde, a British supersonic airliner. He returned to the U.S. and became a structural engineer and retired in 1995. His faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ was the most important thing to him, and he was a long-term member of the First Baptist Church in Rochelle.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 4 daughters: Lorna Brieltz, of California, Katherine (Ray) Weems of Ottawa, Terry Bunger of Rochelle, Elizabeth Bullard of New York; son-in-law: Roger Bunger of Clare; grandchildren: Ray (Nicole) Weems, Rachel (Kyle) Aldridge, Joshua (Christy) Bunger, Rebecca Bunger, Ivan Bunger, Katie (Wade) Arthur, and Alex (Veronika) Bunger; great-grandchildren: Rowan, Eden, Easton, Ellie, Charlie, and Owen; and one very special kitty, Ellie.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday Dec. 3 from 10-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 810 Woolf Ct., Rochelle. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church. Please visit www.ungerhorner.com for online guest book.
