ROCHELLE — Kenneth Bucher passed away peacefully at Serenity Hospice and Home on July 28 surrounded by his family. He was born to Louis and Helen Bucher in Franklin Grove on July 3, 1946. He married Lowaine Ankney on Jan. 31, 1986. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers-in-law:  Ron, Ronnie, and Scott and two nephews.

Kenny spent his life as a plumber in the surrounding area. He was a true outdoorsman. He was passionate about deer hunting, fishing and morel mushroom hunting. Telling tales about what he found, bagged or caught. You could find him driving a gravel road scouting the area. His highlight of the day was visiting with his friends. He never met a stranger that he did not strike up a conversation with.

He is survived by his daughters: Teresa (Patrick) Pauser and Shelly (Mike) Sallie; five grandchildren: Blake (Hannah Claudio) Sallie, Ethan (Kayla) Johnson, Logan (Dave Best) Sallie, Tyler (Summer) Johnson and Zachary (Hali Pedersoli) Pauser; sister, Connie Richardson; sisters-in-law:  Cheryl (Dan) Potts, Dorene (Butch) TeBockhorst, Freda Ankney, Laurie Kramer; brother-in-law, Rod Ankney; seven great grandchildren: Maddox, Jaxon, Sunny, Ruby, Aubrey, Marley and Millie; his furry friend, Izzy and many friends and other family members.

The family wants to thank Serenity Hospice and Home for their care and compassion during this challenging time.

A private family graveside gathering will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kenny’s memory to Serenity Home and Hospice and Rochelle Wildlife Conservation Club.
