MALTA — The Kishwaukee College Art Gallery is hosting the Juried High School Student Art Exhibition.
The show will run Feb. 24 through March 12. A closing reception will be held in the Art Gallery (C1260) on Thursday, March 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A public reading of poetry and prose entries will be at 5:30 p.m. and the Awards Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.
Rising artistic talent is featured in this juried exhibition where regional high school students submitted their best art work and creative writing to share with the community. Prizes are awarded to top-ranking submissions. This year’s show features work by students from Hiawatha High School, DeKalb High School, Sycamore High School and Rochelle Township High School.
Admission to the Art Gallery and exhibition is free and open to the public. The Gallery is located in C1260 and is most easily accessed from Parking Lot B, entering through door 58. The Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during exhibitions.
