Kitchen Table receives Monsanto grant

Posted

ROCHELLE – On Monday, June 25, Shane Ebersohl and Angela Shippert of the Monsanto Company stopped by the Kitchen Table community cafe to tour the facility and present a grant award from the Monsanto Foundation.
The award was presented to the Kitchen Table for their community involvement in the area of Food and Nutrition. The grant will be used to purchase a walk-in freezer.
The Kitchen Table is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community cafe.  The concept of such cafes holds those who have much, help pay forward for those who have less so that all may be fed nutritious meals in a family friendly environment.  A secondary goal is to eliminate food waste.
If you would like more information such as hours of operation, meal menu of the day, volunteering opportunities, connect with the Kitchen Table via social media or their website, www.KitchenTableRochelle.org. The Kitchen Table is located just west of Rochelle on IL Route 38.
