Thanks to the Rochelle Kiwanis Noon Club, several youngsters won’t miss out on lunch. The rules of the Summer Lunch Program won’t allow lunch to be served in the rain. Last year’s proceeds from the club’s “Where’s the Beef” fundraiser were applied to build the shelter (at left) at Connelly Park on Cleveland Ave. just off S. IL Route 251. This year’s proceeds will go to help fund the Rochelle Township High School’s Marching Band trip to Washington, D.C.
