ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs freshman softball team broke a three-game losing streak on Monday, defeating the Hononegah Indians by a score of 11-1 to move to 2-5 overall on the season.
Maggie Williams picked up the win on the pitcher’s mound, striking out one batter while Ally Reish added two more strikeouts in relief. Hannah Luxton and Molly Irving each notched two hits and two RBIs, with Kaytlin Neale also totaling two hits and driving in one run.
Kaitlynn Ost, Makayle Butts and Viviana Belmonte each recorded one base hit for the freshman team, who will face Sycamore on Tuesday.
