ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs varsity basketball team honored its 10 seniors prior to Saturday's nonconference game against the Dixon Duchesses. Emotions were high for the girls, but they fueled off their Senior Day celebration and defeated Dixon 54-45 to end the regular season 11-16 overall.
Junior Abby Lundquist led Rochelle with 18 points and seven rebounds, while senior Jacie Wyatt and junior Mya Latta each scored nine points. Seniors Morgan Baker and Britney Salinas combined for nine points in the victory. Rochelle led Dixon 28-17 at halftime.
Rochelle will face Stillman Valley in the IHSA Class 3A Regional Quarterfinals on Monday at 6 p.m. The game will be hosted by Dixon.
