BELVIDERE — Senior Carlie Elder rolled Rochelle’s top series of 640 during the Lady Hubs varsity bowling team’s match against the Belvidere Bucs on Monday. Senior Katie Dummer added 599 over three games, but the Rochelle girls lost 3,206-2,639 to drop to 2-8 overall.
Belvidere won the first game 1,002-822 behind 216 from Hailey Carter. Elder’s 224 and senior Hope Palmer’s 190 propelled Rochelle in the opening game. The Bucs took the second game 1,147-894 with Carter and Hannah Whidby shooting 203 for Belvidere and Dummer totaling 215 for Rochelle.
Belvidere topped Rochelle 1,057-923 to claim the third game of Monday’s match. Holley Steelberg rolled 220 and Carter added 211 for a 630 series for Belvidere. Elder recorded 222 in her final game, and Dummer shot 202 while Palmer totaled 182 for a 542 series.
