ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs varsity bowling team suffered its first loss of the season on Monday, falling to the Dixon Duchesses at T-Byrd Lanes by a final score of 2,853-2,577. The defeat drops Rochelle to 1-1 overall.
Dixon edged the Lady Hubs 880-825 in the first game, with senior Katie Dummer rolling 215 to lead Rochelle and Allison Bay shooting 159 to propel the Duchesses to victory. Rochelle dropped the second game 1,052-857 behind 210 from Dummer and 190 by senior Carlie Elder. Bay’s 219, Melissa Bates’ 207 and Alyssa Bonnette’s 201 boosted Dixon in the second game.
Senior Hope Palmer’s 168 gave Rochelle a lift in the third and final game, but the Lady Hubs lost 921-892. Dummer added 197 to finish with a 622 series for Rochelle, while Elder chipped in 168 to end with a 511 series.
