Lady Hubs bowling team knocked down by Yorkville

Rochelle girls fall to 2-5 on season

YORKVILLE — The Lady Hubs varsity bowling team faced off against the Yorkville Lady Foxes on Tuesday, with the Rochelle girls falling by a final score of 2,876-2,347. The loss drops Rochelle’s overall record to 2-5 on the season.

Yorkville took the first game over Rochelle 852-753 behind 170 from Katie Orissa and 165 from Allison Nape. Senior Carlie Elder rolled 158 to lead the Lady Hubs, while senior Katie Dummer added 157.

The Lady Foxes won the second game 951-825. Kelsey Fairless shot 177 for Yorkville, with Nape adding 172 and Orissa rolling 170. Dummer’s 205 was Rochelle’s high game in the match, and senior Hope Palmer chipped in 143.

Orissa’s 241 and Nape’s 212 propelled Yorkville to a 1,073-769 victory in the third game. Dummer finished with Rochelle’s high series score of 500, and Elder totaled 415. Palmer recorded 406 for the Lady Hubs.
