STERLING — The Lady Hubs varsity bowling team faced off against the Sterling Golden Warriors at Paone’s Blackhawk Lanes on Thursday, with the Rochelle girls falling by a score of 3,003-2,532 to fall to 1-4 on the season.
Sterling topped Rochelle 955-814 in the first game behind 202 from Zoey Paine and 185 from Olivia Zinanni. Senior Katie Dummer rolled Rochelle’s high game of 184, while senior Carlie Elder added 183 and junior Autumn Headon totaled 167.
The Golden Warriors defeated Rochelle 1,099-863 in the second game, with Alivia Salmon shooting 203 and Grace Schultz adding 202 for Sterling. Dummer’s 193 and Elder’s 179 propelled the Lady Hubs in the second game, while senior Hope Palmer recorded 161.
Sterling ended the match with a 949-855 victory in the third game. Kyleigh Glazer led the Golden Warriors with 183, and Dummer shot 205 to finish with a team-high 582 series. Elder added 160 for a 522 series.
