The Lady Hubs varsity softball team wrapped up the regular season this past week, with the Rochelle girls falling to Sterling at home on Wednesday by a score of 10-0 before losing to United Township on Friday by a score of 17-3. The Lady Hubs move to 4-20 overall and the girls will play Dixon in the IHSA Class 3A Regional Quarterfinals on Monday at 4:30 p.m. The game will be played at Rochelle.

Senior Britney Salinas recorded the lone Lady Hub hit against Sterling on Wednesday. Senior Faith Roush tossed two shutout innings before the Golden Warrior offense exploded for all 10 runs in the third inning. Freshman Bella Lodico pitched in relief and held Sterling scoreless in the fourth and fifth innings. Lodico homered for the Lady Hubs against United Township on Friday, while senior Teddi Hacaga added a two-RBI single against.
