MENDOTA — The Lady Hubs varsity softball team split its doubleheader against Mendota this past Saturday, with the Rochelle girls falling 6-2 in the opener before winning 10-9 in the finale. Rochelle is now 3-11 on the season.
Senior Teddi Hacaga and junior Becca Bunger each went 2-for-4 in the opening game, while juniors Maddi O’Rorke, Emilee Dueringer and Macy Luxton all totaled one hit. Hacaga went 1-for-3 with two walks in the finale, and senior Jessie Meyers went 2-for-5 with one RBI.
Senior Britney Salinas went 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBIs, while O’Rorke went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Freshman Bella Lodico struck out eight batters to record the victory.
