ROCHELLE — Hits were hard to come by for the Lady Hubs varsity softball team this week, as the girls totaled just two in losses to the Sterling Golden Warriors and the Yorkville Lady Foxes.
Rochelle took the field on Thursday to continue conference play, with the Lady Hubs falling to Sterling by a score of 13-0. Juniors Bibiana Milan and Teddi Hacaga notched base hits for the purple and white, while junior Jessie Meyers took the mound.
The Lady Foxes proved to be an even tougher challenge, with Rochelle going down by a score of 16-0. Senior Jenna Feltes started on the mound for the Lady Hubs, who were shut down offensively and couldn’t record a hit in the game.
Rochelle’s record moves to 2-18 overall with the losses, and the girls will return to conference action against the Kaneland Knights on Tuesday.
