LASALLE — The Lady Hubs varsity tennis team continued conference play on Tuesday, falling to the LaSalle-Peru Lady Cavaliers by a score of 5-0. Rochelle will try for its first win of the season against Sterling on Thursday.
Senior Alex Nava fell to LaSalle-Peru’s Clara Ferrari at No. 1 singles (0-6, 2-6), while senior Jasmin Galvan dropped a two-set match to Angela Bernardoni in No. 2 singles (1-6, 1-6). Lady Cavalier players Maddy Freeman and Michelle Windy defeated Rochelle seniors Marissa Belmonte and Raquel Montelongo in No. 1 doubles, 6-2, 6-0.
Seniors Lillian Fulgencio and Anahi Calderon lost to Taylor Donnell and Gena Fassino by a score of 1-6, 1-6 at No. 2 doubles, while junior Lila Roush and sophomore Kate Monfils fell 0-6, 1-6 to Tyler Kroll and Grace Filipiak.
