DIXON — The Lady Hubs varsity volleyball team picked up one victory while suffering four losses at the Dixon Invitational this past Saturday. Rochelle (7-21-2 overall) will continue conference action this week with home matches against LaSalle-Peru and Sterling.
The Lady Hubs lost to Sterling (9-21, 14-21), Dunlap (11-21, 10-21) and Rockford Guilford (8-21, 19-21), but the Rochelle girls managed to earn a win over Prophetstown by a score of 21-10, 21-16. The Lady Hubs dropped a second match to Dunlap, falling 21-18, 11-21, 7-15.
Rochelle’s final regular season match will be played against Geneseo on Tuesday, Oct. 17. The Lady Hubs qualified for the IHSA Class 3A Regional in Sycamore as the No. 9 seed, and the girls will face No. 7 seed Wheaton Academy in the quarterfinals on Monday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m.
