Leon (Lee) Elliot Molway, Jr.

WOODSTOCK, G.A. — Leon (Lee) Elliot Molway, Jr., 73, died at home on Nov. 9 after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts as the oldest of five children of Leon Elliot Molway, Sr. and Juanita (Gilbert) Molway. A resident of Woodstock, Georgia, he retired from a career in IT at Baxter Healthcare in 2008. He grew up in Palatine, Illinois and previously lived in Rochelle, Lake Zurich, and Fox Lake, Illinois prior to moving to Woodstock. He was very active in the Cherokee Senior Softball Association as a player, coach, manager, and board member.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joella (Doyle) Molway, his sons Scott and Angela (Olsen) and James and Meghan (Devlin) Molway. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Elliot, Evin, Ethan, Hunter, Blake, Emmy and Caleb Molway, and three sisters, Sheryl Holden, Bebe Molway and Carol Seaman, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Jennifer Leigh Molway, and his brother, William Molway.
Services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Woodstock, Georgia 30189 on Nov. 15. He was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cherokee Senior Softball Association at 3950 Cobb Parkway NW Acworth, GA 30101 or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 1208 Rose Creek Drive, Woodstock, GA 30189.
