ROCHELLE — The Lions Club has made a donation to the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District in honor of Kent & Arlene Chidley and Bob & Ann Milligan.
A bench and plaque have been installed at The REC Center. The location of the bench will provide a place of rest while enjoying the outdoor playground or for members who may be waiting for a ride.
Lions Club – 266 Rochelle is a community service club in Rochelle, IL, founded in 1969. The Club holds many fundraisers; such as, their annual Rose Day and annual candy day. These fundraisers help the Club support several activities and programs. They provide scholarships to Rochelle Township High School seniors, the visually and hearing impaired, Leader Dog training, Camp Lions for blind and deaf children, Little League sponsorships and other non-profit programs and projects.
