ROCHELLE — Kaylee Watson was crowned Rochelle Kiwanis Little Miss Peanut 2019-20 during the annual contest held Friday night on the main stage of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival.
Arabella Marruffo was chosen as the first runner-up and Jehan Jaradat was named second runner-up.
Watson will now reign for the next 12 months and attend many local Kiwanis functions throughout the year.
The contest was open to any local girls ages 7-10. Other contestants included Cora Mickley, Grace Spartz, Alexa Fransen, Georgia Schbacker, Mackenzie Bybee, Gwendolyn O'Dell and Aidyn Stultz.
Several local businesses and organizations sponsored the contest, including Central Bank, Colonial Flowers, Stillman Bank, Country School, Rochelle Child Care Center, Prescott Ford, Quinn's Jewelry and the Rochelle Golden K Club.
