Lorretta Holtman

ROCHELLE — Lorretta Holtman, 96, passed away Thursday, March 2 at the Franklin Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin Grove. Lorretta was born on Aug. 26, 1926 to Frank R. and Elsie (Friday) Baker in Rockford. On Feb. 2, 1947, she married Harold “Jim” Holtman in New Milford. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2011.
Lorretta and Jim owned and operated the Hub Lounge in Rochelle. She also worked at Town and Country and Stone’s Hallmark both in Rochelle. Lorretta loved to entertain, having family and friends over brought her great joy.
Lorretta is survived by her two children: Dennis (Ginger) Holtman of Rochelle and Deborah (Rich) Wilkinson of Mt. Morris; four grandchildren: Richard Wilkinson, Jason (Tammy) Wilkinson, Tye (Sarah) Thuestad and Trent (Keri) Thuestad; eight great grandchildren: Brett, Kaylee, Katlynn, Ethan and Breanna Wilkinson, Gunner and Maverick Thuestad and Tyler Teske and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jim, she was predeceased by her brother, Roy Baker and five sisters: Marge Reints, Alta Mae Kerr, Lorraine Strang, Dorothy Kittleson and Marie Young.
The visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Rogula officiating.
