On Nov. 11 at 2:44 a.m., Rochelle police arrested Zackery Soto, 28, of St. Charles, following a chase on IL Route 38. Officers received word of a driving complaint at IL Route 38 and Dement Rd. after the vehicle driven by Soto nearly struck a semi truck. Police attempted to stop the vehicle; however,, Soto gave chase. At one time, his vehicle left the roadway before coming back onto the pavement. Officers were able to stop the vehicle near the Ogle and DeKalb county line. Soto was arrested on two counts of DUI, speeding in excess of 139 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, improper lane usage and operating a vehicle in violation of restriction. He posted $300 bond.
On Nov. 13 at 5:16 a.m., Rochelle police cited Phillip Headlee, 34, of Caulfield, Mo., for failure to reduce speed and operating an uninsured vehicle. He posted an I-bond.
On Nov. 13 at 11:58 a.m., Rochelle police cited William Murges, 73, of Ashton, for failure to reduce speed. He posted an I-bond.
On Nov. 13 at 3:06 p.m., Rochelle police cited Cesar Gutirrez, 19, of Rochelle, for speeding in a school zone. He posted an I-bond.
