ROCHELLE — A Rochelle man was arrested Thursday after a short vehicle chase.
On Thursday, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of illegal dumping of construction material on Fowler Road in rural Rochelle. Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle a short time later; however, the vehicle refused to stop. A short pursuit ensued and the vehicle was apprehended in the 900 block of N. Seventh St. in Rochelle.
The driver, Randy Lemay, 51 of Rochelle, was arrested for illegal dumping, aggravated fleeing to elude, driving while license revoked, speeding, disobeying a stop sign, failure to stop at a railroad crossing and resisting arrest.
Lemay was confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Illinois State Police and the Rochelle Police Department.
