Man arrested for possession of hypodermic syringe

On Oct. 25 at approximately 1:52 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop in the 4000 block of North Leaf River Road.  After investigation, deputies placed the driver, Christopher Evans, 29, of Dixon, under arrest on an Ogle County failure to appear warrant for criminal trespass, a Lee County failure to appear warrant, and violation of the Hypodermic Syringe and Needle Act.  Evans was also issued a citation for no front registration plate.  The passenger, Adam Koehler, 35, of Dixon, was also placed under arrest on a Lee County failure to appear warrant.  Evans and Koehler were both transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
On Oct. 24, Andrew Swift, 32, of Mt. Morris, was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant. Swift did not post the $4,460 full cash bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 25.

On Oct. 24. Alyssa D. Poff, 26, of Polo, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for no valid registration. Poff posted the $5,000/10 percent bond applies and was released with a court date of Nov. 16.
On Oct. 25 the following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Franklyn X. Hopson, 33, of Aurora, for driving under the influence. Hopson did not post the $5,000/10 percent bond applies and remained in the Ogle County Jail. Hopson was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 26.
Christopher S. Evans, 29, of Dixon, for failure to appear with a full cash bond of $603.  Evans was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 26.
