ROCHELLE — A decades-old incident has resulted in a Rochelle man being arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
Following a four month investigation by Rochelle police, Salvador Sanchez, 58, was arrested Thursday on 16 counts of the Class 1 felony offense of criminal sexual assault.
The female victim was 16 years old at the time of the alleged incident. The alleged incident took place between August of 1997 and April of 1998.
Sanchez remains in the Ogle County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Ogle County Court Thursday.
