CHANA — Mandrell “Dale” Cornett, 76, of Chana, passed away on Jan. 21, 2019. Mandrell was born on March 14, 1942 in Kenmont, Perry County Kentucky to Arthur and Flossie Cornett. He served in the Army in Vietnam from 1968-69. He was a part of the Local 150 for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar and singing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
After 17 years, he is finally reunited with the love of his life, Margaret.
Mandrell is survived by his two children, Julie Hensley of Oregon, and Amy (Ryan) Clark of Chana; six grandchildren, Bradley Hensley, Nathan Clark, Bailey Hensley, Madyson Clark, Angus Clark and Cody Clark; and one great-grandchild, Kolten Andersen.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Margaret.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with a committal service to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Rochelle.
