ROCHELLE — Marilyn Joy Beebe, 83, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. Marilyn was born Dec. 15, 1934 in Bassett Forks, Va., to Shelburne and Cora (nee Prillaman) Nash.
Growing up in Virginia she was a member of the Church of the Brethren and attended Bridgewater College. Marilyn also attended Asbury College in Kentucky and eventually moved to Chicago to work.
Marilyn married Lawrence Beebe on Sept. 21, 1957 in Chicago. She worked for AT&T in Chicago until retirement and moved to Las Vegas in 1998. Marilyn loved her family, talking to friends, pets, nature, music, and all animals. Marilyn is survived by her son, Clifton, of Las Vegas; daughter, Linda (Dan) Ihnen of Las Vegas; and grandsons, Adam Ihnen of Las Vegas and Eric Ihnen of Japan.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lawrence; her sisters Marie Latour, Lois Dixon, Bonnie Barker; her brother Sidney Nash; and by her grandson Troy Ihnen.
Services will be June 9 at 12 p.m. at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. Sixth St., Rochelle. Inurnment to follow at Flagg Cemetery.
