ROCHELLE — At their June 1 meeting, the Rochelle Masonic Lodge installed Clint Dickey, Cliff Smart and A.J. Parker as the three principle elected Officers of the Lodge.
The Masonic Lodge was originally chartered in 1857 in "Lane" and named "Horicon Masonic Lodge 244. Over its many years of existence, the lodge has met in several locations throughout the city.
You may even notice the Masonic square and compass up high at the corner of Lincoln Highway and 4th Avenue.
The lodge was permanently housed at its current location in 1925 and was the project of Emanuel Hilb who was instrumental in its completion.
The Masons are proud to be a part of the Rochelle community, its many charitable activities and also the masonic charities around the country.
