Trump challenging validity of votes in several battleground states

ROCHELLE — Multiple news outlets including AP, CNN, FOX, NBC and ABC have called the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election for Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden.

News outlets called the presidential race late Saturday morning after Biden was projected to be the winner in Pennsylvania, where he leads Republican Party candidate and current President Donald Trump by over 30,000 votes with 99 percent of precincts reporting. Biden currently leads Trump 290-214 in the electoral vote, with 270 votes needed to win the presidency.

Both Pennsylvania and Nevada, with six electoral votes, have been called for Biden this morning. States that are still too close to call include Georgia, North Carolina and Alaska.

For the past several days Trump and his campaign have objected to votes tallied beyond Tuesday night and vowed to take legal action to challenge the validity of the voting totals in several key battleground states.
