ROCHELLE — With a brand new ball in hand, local league bowler Ryan Messer rolled a 300 game at T-Byrd Lanes on Thursday, Feb. 25 during the Thursday Night Classic League.
Messer shot the perfect score in just his second game with a brand new Storm Proton Physix bowling ball that he had just broken out for the first time that night.
“The first game I was just getting used to it and shot 185, so in the second game I just started throwing it further outside to see how it would react and it was really coming back hard to the pocket,” Messer explained. “I just used it tonight for the first time after deciding it was time to buy a new ball, and I was joking around before we started that maybe it will be a good night.”
The league-sanctioned 300 game was the sixth of Messer’s career, and the first this season at T-Byrd Lanes.
