Rochelle — Michael David Czaplinski, 24, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018 in California. He was born on July 28, 1994 in Rockford, the son of Alex and Eva Czaplinski. Michael was a 2012 Rochelle Township High School graduate, and currently residing in California.
Michael had a big heart and was passionate about helping others. He loved to create art and music and enjoyed being surrounded by nature.
He is survived by his parents, Alex and Eva Czaplinski of Rochelle; three siblings: Agnes (Shiloh) Rhodes of Rochelle, Simon Czaplinski of New York, and Adam Czaplinski of Rochelle; and his niece, Alexis, and nephew, Maddox.
Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 7 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle.
Private funeral services will be held later for immediate family.
