ROCHELLE — Michael J. Hahn, 51, of Rochelle died Saturday, June 5 in Madison, Wisconsin.

He was born on May 22, 1970 in Geneva. to John and Kathryn (Kerley) Hahn.

Mike followed a very scheduled day starting with lifting weights, cardio, walking his dogs, and doing the dishes before heading to work at Cain Millwork.

While at Cain he embraced his ability to design and craft projects of all types as the senior production engineer. When he wasn't working on a project, he developed woodworking projects on his own.

His work can be seen each and every day by his friends and family, whether he built a piece of furniture or a garden fixture. If Mike wasn't at work or creating, he could be found in the water.

An avid and technical swimmer, Mike was always looking for his next competition.

Survivors include his children, Ashley Hahn and Cody Hahn; fiancé, Leslie Biegler-Ciaccio; parents, John and Kitty Hahn and siblings Cheri Hahn and Daniel Hahn.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jane and Lyle Kerley; grandfather, Leroy Hahn and his grandmother, Evelyn Hahn.

His visitation will be Saturday, June 12 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the REC Center - Rochelle Park District in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
