ROCHELLE — “Secret Life of Pets” will be the featured movie at the Movie in the Park on Saturday, June 16.
Bring the whole family to Helms Field — gates open at 8 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30. Central Bank, along with co-host Rochelle Municipal Utilities will be providing refreshments such as pop, water, popcorn, and candy free of charge.
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend and event organizers say outside food is welcome.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars.
“We work with our sponsors to bring this event to the community, which allows us to offer free admission. This is our seventh year,” said Ashley Jackson, Central Bank. “We encourage the community and outlying areas to attend.”
Jackson said over the years people have brought pizzas and parents pull their youngsters in wagons and enjoy the show. Some arrive early enough to watch the large screen being inflated.
No smoking and no alcoholic beverages will be allowed on park property.
“We are really excited for it, and ” Jackson added. “It’s a fun time.”
