Nashville’s McCracken to perform at church

Posted

ROCHELLE — First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle is hosting singer/songwriter Sandra McCracken from Nashville next month.
The performance is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Her bio lists contributions as a “songwriter, modern-day hymn writer and record producer has brought grace and clarity to her soulful, folk-gospel sound.”

McCracken started singing and writing songs at a young age; her songs,” We Will Feast In The House Of Zion” and “Thy Mercy My God” are heard regularly in Christian worship services internationally.
She explained what her guests could expect at the event, which will be about 90 minutes in length.
“The performance is an evening of reflection and storytelling through song, some scripture and imagery woven throughout and between the music,” McCracken said. “It’s not scripted or exactly predictable from night to night. There are moments for us to all sing together and time to just sit back and take it in. All are welcome.”
Tickets can be purchased through McCracken’s website, www.sandramccracken.com or the First Presbyterian Church website, www.placeforgrace.com.
