ROCHELLE — Thanks to a grant from the Rochelle Area Community Foundation, the Hub City Senior Center has a new patio out its back door for patrons to enjoy.
The project was recently completed after the grant money was distributed earlier this spring.
Another new service for Hub City Senior Center patrons includes Family Counseling Services offering professional counseling by licensed therapists and Hub City Senior Center patrons can be arranged by calling 815-962-5585.
Several insurances and Medicare are accepted as payment. A sliding fee scale which is subsidized by the grants is offered to ensure that those without insurance
may still receive counseling.
Professional counseling is indicated when an individual is having significant difficulty in finding joy in life; is unable to get along with others; feels overwhelmed by responsibilities; has experienced traumas such as loss; or has other interpersonal relationships that are stressful and no longer produce meaning and fulfillment.
