Ogle County Clovers have an eventful winter

Posted

ROCHELLE — The Ogle County Clovers 4-H group has been staying busy throughout this winter season.
Back in January they took part in the annual fundraising event, where they sold boxes of cookie dough and garbage bags of various sizes.
In February, the Ogle County Clovers had a blast as they all came together and had a lively bowling tournament. They had a splendid time competing and laughing with one another.
4-Hers all around are very excited about the up-coming Day of Dabbling event, which is a day where all kids are invited to meet together and attend various workshops. There will be cooking classes, art classes, and even a spy class at this event.

In March, the Ogle County Clovers will be making dog biscuits during their meeting, as a community service event. They will be donating everything that they make to the Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
Another exciting event coming up is a 4-H roller-skating party. They will be meeting at the White Pines Roller-Skating Rink in Oregon on April 8. 4-H is such a wonderful program, where kids can shine and blossom into the future citizens of our community.
The Ogle County Clovers welcome all youth, ages 5-18, to join in with all the fun! They meet on every second Thursday of the month in the Rochelle United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.
If you know someone who is interested in joining 4-H, you can call or text the club leader, Becky Ackland, at 815-751-2483 for more information.
