Ogle County Sheriff's Report: April 2-6

On April 2 at 4:01 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff Deputies responded to a 911 hang up in the apartment complex in the 500 block of East Third Street in Leaf River. After investigation, deputies learned the call was made from 510 E. Third St., which involved a domestic dispute. Deputies then placed Anthony Apodaca, 40, Leaf River, under arrest for a violation of an order of protection. Apodaca was transported to the Ogle County Jail in Oregon where he was held in lieu of bond.

On April 2 at 7:37 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of North Freeport Road. After further investigation Olivia Lange, 18, Dubuque, Iowa, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Lange was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. She was also cited for improper U-turn.

On April 2 at 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Powers Road in Hillcrest for the report of a physical altercation between two males. Upon conducting an investigation, Orrie Samp, 50, Rochelle was placed under arrest and charged with battery. Samp was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

April 3

On April 3 at 5:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 11,000 block of East Sunset Lane in rural Rochelle for the report of a domestic disturbance. After conducting an investigation, Christina Princivalli, 44, Rochelle, was arrested for domestic battery. Princivalli was transported to the Ogle County Courthouse where she was held awaiting a court appearance.

On April 3 at 6:27 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Mason Street and Division Avenue in Polo on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Braden A. Eich, 32, Dixon. The motorcycle fled from deputies northbound on Division Avenue. The motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve in the 1000 block of South Illinois Route 26 and entered the east ditch where it crashed. Polo Fire/EMS were dispatched to the scene for non-life threatening injures. Eich was transported to KSB Hospital in Dixon by Polo EMS. After an investigation, Eich was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and violation of the Illinois concealed carry act. Eich was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident, speeding 35-plus m.p.h. over the limit and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Eich was released on a signature individual bond. The incident remains under investigation with further charges pending.

April 5

On April 5 at 9:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Routes 2 and 72. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Peggy L. Anderson, 47, Rockford, for an active Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Anderson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

April 6

On April 6 at 12:56 a.m., deputies conducted a vehicle check on a vehicle parked on the shoulder in the 5,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Shaunna J. Peak, 41, Rockford, for an active Rockford arrest warrant for larceny. Peak was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. 

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
