On Dec. 27 at approximately 5:16 p.m. deputies received a driving complaint on a silver Chevrolet van traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 64 from Rock Road. Deputies located the Chevrolet and initiated a traffic stop in the McDonald’s parking lot in Oregon. After further investigation, deputies arrested Chadd W. Stokes, 64, of Rockford, for unlawful possession of cannabis over 100 grams (class four felony), possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, improper container of cannabis/driver and driving while license suspended. Stokes was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held with no bond. Stokes was additionally cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper traffic lane usage.

On Dec. 29 at approximately 5:45 p.m. deputies responded to the 6,000 block of South Locust Road in reference to a car in the ditch. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Beyvon North, 19, of Naperville, for no valid driver’s license. Passenger Soha Kahn, 20, of DeKalb, was also arrested for obstructing identification. North and Kahn were both transported to the Ogle County Jail, where they were released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.
