On Jan. 14 at 9:44 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Logan D. Smith, 30, of Rockford for driving without a license. Smith was transported to Ogle County Jail.

OREGON — On Jan. 14 at 9:44 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Logan D. Smith, 30, of Rockford for driving without a license. Smith was transported to Ogle County Jail.
On Jan. 14 at 1:53 p.m. deputies responded to a juvenile disturbance at 204 Main St. in Chana. After an investigation, a 10-year-old juvenile was arrested for aggravated battery. The juvenile was released into the custody of his mother.
On Jan. 15at 5:21 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 300 block of East South Park Drive in Byron. After an investigation, deputies arrested Diane Harrod, 53, of Byron, for aggravated domestic battery. Harrod was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
On Jan. 16 at approximately 3:30 p.m. deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 2760 S. Brooke’s Island Rd. Upon further investigation, Regina Tomayo, 54, from Texas, was arrested for domestic battery. Tomayo was then transported to the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.
On Jan. 16 at approximately 3:06 a.m. deputies and Byron EMS responded to the 10,800 block of North Illinois Route 2 for a two-vehicle accident with injury. After further investigation, it was determined that a Ford Mustang driven by Jason Eldon, 36, of Rockford, left the roadway and struck an embankment becoming disabled in the southbound lane. A Jeep SUV driven by, Amy King, 37, of Byron, was traveling southbound and struck the disabled Ford Mustang. King was released on scene by Byron EMS. Eldon was transported to a local hospital for a suspected minor injury. Eldon was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper traffic lane usage.
On Jan. 16 at approximately 10:03 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 19,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After further investigation, Fredrick Reynolds, 25, of Dekalb, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Reynolds was also cited for speeding and released on a notice to appear with a return court date.
On Jan, 17 at 4:11 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 20,000 block of East Illinois Route 64 for improper display of registration. After an investigation, Louis J. Wright II, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Wright was also issued a citation for improper display of registration. Wright was released from the scene on a signature I-Bond with a return court date.
