OREGON — On Jan. 17 at approximately 6:32 p.m. dputies were dispatched to the Mount Morris Estates at lot 12 in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, deputies placed John Hitchcock, 40, of Mount Morris under arrest for aggravated domestic battery. Hitchcock was transported to the Ogle County Jail and where he was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.  

On Jan. 17 at approximately 9:23 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4,000 block of South Illinois Route 2. After investigations, deputies placed Steven Smith, 52, of Dixon under arrest for possession of methamphetamine 15-100 grams (class one felony), possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (class X felony). Smith was additionally issued citations for no rear mud flaps and operating an uninsured vehicle. Smith was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.  

On Jan. 19 at approximately 11:10 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4,500 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a brief investigation, Nicole Jones 44, of DeKalb, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Jones was also cited for suspended registration and released on scene with a future court date. 

On Jan. 19 at 9:51 p.m. deputies, with the assistance of Rochelle Police Department, responded to a car in the ditch at Illinois Route 251 and Scott Avenue in Hillcrest. After a brief investigation, Megan Lockinger was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Lockinger was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Lockinger was also issued citations for suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, disregarding a stop sign, improper lane usage, and leaving the scene of an accident.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
