OREGON — On June 5 deputies arrested Teara Burnside, 24, of Peoria for driving while license suspended. Burnside was arrested on Interstate 39 near Monroe Center after being stopped for speeding 103 m.p.h. Burnside was released on an I-bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: June 5-7

OREGON — On June 5 deputies arrested Teara Burnside, 24, of Peoria for driving while license suspended. Burnside was arrested on Interstate 39 near Monroe Center after being stopped for speeding 103 m.p.h. Burnside was released on an I-bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.

On June 6 at approximately 6:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 39 at mile marker 99 southbound. Upon arrival, deputies observed a blue Chevrolet Cruze with heavy front end and driver's side damage. After further investigation, Damontae Perry, 23, of Rockford, was placed under arrest and issued a citation for no valid license. Perry received additional citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Perry was issued an I-bond with a future court date and released on scene.

On June 7 at 9:14 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After an investigation, deputies arrested James Jimenez, 41, of Dixon for driving while license suspended and speeding.  Jimenez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On June 7 at approximately 8:15 p.m. deputies attempted to stop a Chrysler passenger car on Ridge Road in rural Oregon for a speed violation. The Chrysler refused to stop and fled from deputies south on Ridge Road. The vehicle eventually stopped south of the intersection of Ridge Road and Pines Road; however the driver fled the scene on foot. An exhaustive area search was conducted using the Sheriff's office K9 as well as a drone; and the suspect was located hiding approximately 30 feet off the ground in a tree. The Oregon Fire and Ambulance were requested to the scene to help with rescuing the suspect out of the tree. Upon safely climbing down from the tree; the suspect was identified as Johnathan P. Parker, 37, of Mt. Morris. Parker was charged with aggravated fleeing to elude, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding Ogle County warrant for mob action. Parker was also the suspect in a prior investigation and was subsequently charged with burglary and burglary from a motor vehicle. The two passengers in the Chrysler, Angela M Baker, 35, of Dixon and Sierra N. Piester, 27, of Prophetstown were also charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Baker additionally had an outstanding warrant out of Lee County for possession of dangerous drugs. All three individuals were confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond awaiting a court appearance. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Oregon and Mt. Morris Police Departments.
