OREGON — On May 21 at approximately 10:35 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After investigation, deputies arrested Tianna R. Cornell, 20, of Tampico, for driving while license suspended Cornell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. Cornell was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and issued a written warning for an inoperable rear registration light. .
On May 21 deputies arrested Justin Williams, 32, of Rockford for driving while license suspended after he was stopped by deputies for speeding on Illinois Route 251. Williams was held in lieu of bond at the Jail.
On May 21 at 5:12 p.m. deputies along with Lynn Scott Rock Fire responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Interstate 39 near Mowers Road. Investigation revealed that a northbound vehicle driven by Kevin Abbott, 36, of Peoria had stopped in traffic when it was rear ended by a vehicle driven by James Hopkins, 34, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. An adult female passenger in Abbott's car was transported to the Rochelle Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Hopkins was arrested by deputies for driving while license revoked and held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail. Hopkins was also cited for an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed.
On May 23 deputies arrested Alejandrino Hernandez, 27, of DeKalb for driving without a valid license after Hernandez was stopped for speeding on Illinois Route 64 near Chamberlain Road. Hernandez was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
On May 24 at approximately 8:47 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 11,000 block of West Illinois Route 72. After investigation Javier Rodriguez, 23, of Waukegan, was arrested for no valid driver’s license. Rodriguez was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal window tint. Rodriguez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
