Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: May 6-9

OREGON — On May 6 at 11:20 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North Illinois Route 2 and Margaret Fuller Drive in rural Oregon. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Isaiah Jiminez, 20, of Rock Falls, for driving on a suspended license. Jiminez was released on a $2,500 I-Bond with a future court date. Jiminez was also issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle with expired registration.

On May 8 deputies arrested Chandler Mershon, 31, of Stillman Valley for driving with no valid driver’s license and possession of cannabis open container. Mershon was arrested by deputies on Illinois Route 72 near Stillman Valley after being stopped for a domestic disturbance investigation. Mershon was released on an individual bond and will appear in court at a later date.

On May 9 at approximately 6:26 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After investigation, Caleb J. Spate, 32, of Belvidere was arrested for possession of cannabis, 10-30 grams. Spate was also cited for speeding and improper cannabis container as a driver. Spate was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On May 9 at approximately 10:27 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 near mile marker 104. After brief investigation, deputies arrested Emma Boyd, 46, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Boyd was also issued citations for an inoperable registration light and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Boyd was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released from the scene.
