On Nov. 12 at 9:53 p.m. deputies stopped a 2007 Pontiac on Interstate 39 at mile marker 109 for an equipment violation. After a short investigation, deputies cited Taniyah Taylor, 18, of Rockford for unlawful possession of cannabis. Taylor was released on scene and will appear in court on Dec. 15.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Nov. 12-15

OREGON — On Nov. 12 at 9:53 p.m. deputies stopped a 2007 Pontiac on Interstate 39 at mile marker 109 for an equipment violation. After a short investigation, deputies cited Taniyah Taylor, 18, of Rockford for unlawful possession of cannabis. Taylor was released on scene and will appear in court on Dec. 15.  

On Nov. 12 at approximately 11:05 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2,000 block of South Mulford Road. After a brief investigation, Kameron Williams, 19, of Chicago, was arrested for no valid driver's license. Williams was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an equipment violation. Williams was given an I-Bond on scene and released with a court date later next month. 

On Nov. 13 at approximately 1:13 a.m. deputies as well as Rochelle and Lynn Scott Rock EMS responded to the 15,000 block of East Illinois Route 64 for a one-vehicle accident. After investigation, deputies determined that Sara Hall, 54, of Rochelle, was traveling west on East Illinois Route 64. Hall then struck a guard rail on the north side of the road, causing major front-end damage to her vehicle. Hall was transported to the Rochelle Community Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Hall was issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Hall was given an I-Bond and left with Rochelle medical personnel.

On Nov. 13 at 4:13 a.m. deputies responded to 11,800 West Illinois Route 64 in reference to an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies located a white Ford Fusion parked partially in the roadway. After an investigation, Joseph D Caldwell, 29, of Polo was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid Illinois driver’s license, illegal parking on the roadway and no valid proof of insurance. Caldwell was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. The vehicle was removed from the location by Pines Towing. 

On Nov. 13 deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Illinois Route 72 at Illinois Route 251 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Robert Woodard, 55, of Rockford was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license and improper cannabis container/driver and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no registration light. He was released on a signature I-Bond and will appear in court at a later date.  

On Nov. 13 at 9:48 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 111 on a 2010 Chevy for a registration violation. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Marquell Ferguson, 24, of Moline, Iowa for driving while license revoked. Marquell was also cited for no insurance. Ferguson was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  

On Nov. 13 at approximately 12:03 p.m. deputies responded to 11791 N. Leaf River Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance.  After an investigation, Michael Daniel, 21, of Leaf River was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic battery, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a FOID and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number (class 3 felony). Daniel was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On Nov. 13 at approximately 4:07 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 20,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After investigation, deputies placed Andrej Obradovic, 19, of Schererville, Indiana under arrest for driving while license suspended. Obradovic was additionally issued a citation for speeding 35+ mph over the speed limit. Obradovic was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.  

On Nov. 14 at approximately 11:54 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 8,000 block of South Illinois Route 38. After further investigation, Brittany Fasulo, 28, of Ashton was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Fasulo was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. Fasulo was released on an I-Bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date. 

On Nov. 14 at approximately 8 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of South Meridian Road. After further investigation, David Echelbarger, 30, of Rochelle, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Echelbarger was released on an I-Bond and will appear in Ogle County Court at a later date. 

On Nov. 14 at approximately 9:45 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 20,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After investigation, Catrina Hampton, 26, of Chicago was arrested for driving while license suspended. Passenger Deoveonna Thomas, 21, of Chicago was also arrested for an active warrant out of Chicago. Hampton and Thomas were both transported to the Ogle County Jail where Hampton was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal window tint and obstructed driver's view. Hampton and Thomas were released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond. 

On Nov. 14 at approximately 2:24 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a brief investigation, Laqjuan C. Lyons, 27, of Milwaukee was arrested for no driver's license. Lyons was also issued citations for speeding 15-20 mph above the limit. Lyons was given an I-Bond on scene and released with a court date later next month. 

On Nov. 15 at 1:33 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5,000 block of Mulford Road. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Dennis Ehmen, 62, of Monroe Center for no valid driver's license. Ehmen was released on an I-Bond and will appear in court at a later date.  

On Nov. 15 deputies arrested Keith Sanders, 31, of Bloomington for driving without a valid driver's license. Sanders was arrested on Interstate 39 near Illinois Route 64 after being stopped for speeding 103 m.p.h. in a 70 m.p.h. zone. Sanders was released on a I-bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.
